Responsibilities

The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Data Analyst - Distribution based out of our National Center Office located in Dallas, TX!

This individual will be responsible for developing tools and reports from distribution data. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining accurate quality data to ensure effective reports and analysis. Responsible for documenting and improving controls, risk management, and procedures as well as implementing training. Also responsible for working collaboratively with Digital Operations, Finance and the third-party Fulfillment Service Provider to design, develop and implement business strategies in support of assigned objectives.

  • Create and manage distribution process documentation. Capture and update process steps, flow charts and related process documents

  • Develop and execute analysis and reports from multiple data sources. Ensure and improve data quality and accuracy

  • Develop, write reports and present data using appropriate statistical tools such as Excel, Access, or Tableau. Analyze customer activities and order history to research reporting requirements

  • Design and perform queries and ad hoc reports using SQL or related reporting tools with immediate or limited notice

  • Identify key performance indicators and measurements for project best practices. Solicit and process feedback from key stakeholders to perform critical trend analysis. Identify and streamline processes, communicate solutions and implement process improvements

  • Establish process management principles and ensure adherence to these processes that support manual and automated functions – including but not limited to ensuring necessary reporting is in place and that automated processes are monitored

  • Assists distribution to project accurate volume and mix detail for better planning and efficiency. Compiles data leverage for cost reduction initiatives and variable expense decisions through analysis of key areas

  • Provides direct input into the existing user tools and make recommendations for process changes/improvements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Two (2) years of experience with distribution center, distribution operations or related business

  • Two (2) years of experience as a project manager documenting processes and policies

  • Two (2) years of experience developing and maintaining high quality reports

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • SSRS reporting and analytical skills

  • Results-driven, self-learner who can thrive on challenges

  • Excellent team member with ability to collaborate across functions

  • Strong attention to detail in tracking results, analytical assessments

  • Conceptual thinking skills and creativity that is supported by a process-oriented analytical skill set

  • Demonstrated ability to define project timelines, requirements, and deliver results
