Responsibilities

The Matching Gifts Coordinator is responsible for the centralized coordination and administration of matching gift opportunities to maximize revenue from this income stream. Includes actively managing matching gift opportunities and consistently identifying, claiming and validating matching gifts.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for all Matching Gift functions within WSA.

  • Maintaining a centralized database of all Matching Gift Companies. This will include all matching gift criteria, contact information, matching options and usernames/passwords.

  • Building relationships with Matching Gift Companies to gain knowledge of their programs and obtaining/updating contact information. Works with event staff to assist with any questions they may have.

  • Accurately and timely processing all incoming Matching Gift forms and electronic submissions and recording all Matching Gift income in appropriate event system.

  • Working with field staff to ensure participants initiate match.

  • Working with Operations, centralize and process the income side of Matching Gifts.

  • Generating Matching Gift reports across all markets and events.

  • Working with Finance on the monthly allocation report looking for income that has been coded incorrectly and income currently allocated and should be credited to the Affiliate.

  • Working with Development, Communications and Digital Strategies staff to promote matching gifts opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint

  • Advanced proficiency in database applications Working knowledge of finance and accounting principles

  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to work with precision

  • Positive customer service orientation

Office-based position with location flexible to Los Angeles or Burlingame.
